Problem: Slow login with XAuditron

Disable Root Certificate Update
Root certificate lookup is a process in which the server connects to an external Microsft website to verify the integrity of every Digital Certificate that it cannot immediately verify. Since XAuditron relies on a self-signed Digital Certificate, this can result in a slow login--depending upon the amount of latency required for your server to perform the lookup. The fix is simply to disable the root certificate lookup.

For Windows Server 2003
Go to Add/Remove programs>Add/Remove Windows Components; then uncheck the box for "Update root certificates" and click Next to makeWindows remove the Update function.

For Windows Server 2008
Go to Start->Run and type the command "gpedit.msc." From there, browse to Computer Config->Administrative templates->System>Internet Communication Management->Internet Communication Settings and ”Turn off automatic root certificates update.”
